THE AUTHOR
Laura is a new and upcoming author who recently discovered her birth defect was caused by the drug, Thalidomide. After years of believing she was unique because of an “unknown morning sickness medication” taken by her mother, she now plans to bring awareness and knowledge to others by writing her stories. She has found a new passion to share, as well as being part of a comradery with other survivors of the thalidomide tragedy within the United States of America. Kendall uses her life experience to establish herself as an author worth reading, but most of all, someone who can understand the struggles of being different in a place where some strive to be accepted for who they are.

Laura spends her free time traveling, enjoying music/concerts, volunteering at SPCA of Solano County (a local non-profit animal shelter), and being a happy homemaker, wife, and grandmother. She is recently retired and living on the California Delta with her husband, John and fur baby, Telly.
